What a difference a day makes…

April 8, 2010

Yesterday was the most amazing day…the weather folk forecast that it would probably break the record high temp of 86 degrees…HA!  I don’t know what the official temperature was, but my car thermometer said it was 94 degrees when I got off work yesterday afternoon.  It was definitely a top down day!

Blink, and it is today…the highs are forecast to be in the 50s…in any other April, we would be thrilled…today, it seems almost disappointing.  Funny how that works.

I am so thrilled for my Dad…a lifelong golfer, my Dad had the chance to go to the Masters Warm-up round in Augusta, GA yesterday…he and his wife and her sis/b-i-l stationed themselves on Amen Corner and watched a parade of name players swing by…he actually saw Arnold Palmer and Gary Player, among others.  WOW!

On the other end of the spectrum, my mom and her husband are still shaking the snow off the netting over the chicken yard in Homer, Alaska…their house is full of baby plants ready to go into their massive garden, but they have to wait until the weather turns for real.

I actually wore a skirt and sandels to work yesterday with no stockings. So nice! Back to long pants today.
